I have always had a passion for technology and am interested in all aspects of it. I love figuring out how things work and am always keen to learn more about everything. I have taken up many different hobbies including Photography, 3D Modelling/Printing, Video Games, and Electronics. I spend most of my free time learning and developing my skills and am looking forward to being given an opportunity to build on them in a professional environment.
I attended Cardiff University and received a Certificate of Higher Education in Integrated Engineering. My experience at university has helped me figure out that I find the software side of engineering much more enjoyable than the mechanical, and I am interested in pursuing a career in the tech industry because of it. My university course has provided me with a foundation in C++, mathematical concepts, and Circuit Design & Analysis. I have built on this foundation through self-learning resources and have developed an understanding of web development tools like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am currently trying to gain more knowledge in these areas and am working my way to having a good understanding of programming languages such as Python and C++ in order to be able to develop applications in areas I am more interested in such as Virtual Reality and Machine Learning.
I am looking for a career in web development that can help teach me more about the industry. I am hard working, and I am passionate about the things I am interested in. I am keen to gain experience and to learn as much as I can, and I believe that is what makes me suited for an field that is always changing and improving.
I studied on the BEng Integrated Engineering course at Cardiff Unversity and achieved a Certificate of Higher Education. This course allowed me to study things such as circuit design and analysis, further maths concepts, and basic C++ programming. I did not achieve a full degree as I was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and felt it was best for me to finish my studies at the time.

I studied at St Martin's Comprehensive School's Sixth Form where I achieved 3 A Levels in 2018 in Electronics, Physics, and Maths.
Electronics gave me the opportunity to study microcontrollers and low-level programming languages like Assembly. For my coursework, I used these concepts to create systems such as a scaled versions of a traffic light system.

During my time in Sixth Form, I organised and participated in a Debate club which a few of my peers and I helped run.
I was appointed as one of the heads of the Eco Team for my school council. I helped set up green spaces in my school and helped with keeping the school tidy.
I recieved the Major Pugh award for Mathematics in Year 12 for outstanding mathematical ability.

I worked alongside a small team of staff where I learned how to efficiently manage my time in order to complete a goal each day. I was responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, handling the removal of waste from the site, and reporting damaged site equipment to management.
I worked as an assistant to a plumber where I learned how to communicate with customers and the how to be punctual. My responsibilities included helping assist with the installation of new facilities, manual handling, and cleaning.
I have a few years of experience with Photography and using image manipulation software such as Adobe Lightroom and GIMP. I have also been training myself how to use 3D Modelling software like Blender to help me with 3D Printing.
I am currently teaching myself how to design and manage websites using Codecademy and other self-learning resources. I have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I hope to teach myself how to use React, MySQL, and PHP and to build my own website sometime in the near future.
I have been taught programming basics in both Python and C++ at university and am continuing to teach myself more complex concepts. I hope to be proficient with these languages in order to be able to use them for machine learning applications sometime in the near future.
